The Kast Cabinet, designed by Maarten Van Severen for Vitra, is a striking example of minimalist contemporary design combined with bold color blocking. Characterized by its clean geometric form, slim tapered legs, and contrasting pink and dark green sliding doors, the cabinet balances playful aesthetics with practical storage. Van Severen’s approach focused on precision, proportion, and material honesty, resulting in a piece that feels both architectural and refined. With its open central compartment and smooth lacquered surfaces, the Kast cabinet functions beautifully as a sideboard, media console, or statement storage piece in modern interiors.
